Scope 2

Electricity consumption

Electricity consumption

In Scope 2, we record indirect emissions resulting from the use of purchased energy. In our case, this refers to the electricity we purchase from our energy supplier, whereby the emissions are generated during its production. In 2021, indirect emissions from purchased electricity accounted for approximately 2% of our total emissions.

In order to further optimise our energy consumption, we regularly invest in efficient machines and systems. As part of a certified energy management system, we are continuously working to improve our processes and reduce our electricity consumption.

We also aim to increasingly cover our remaining electricity needs from renewable sources and have already invested in our own photovoltaic systems for this purpose.

In future, we also intend to use wind energy.
