Sustainability declaration
As a family-owned company with more than 160 years of tradition, our top priority is to safeguard the long-term future of the company. For us, acting sustainable does not only mean a temporal dimension, but also comprises the responsibility for economic, social and ecological issues at all times.
In that regard the seven guidelines of the Association of the German Lime Industry (Bundesverband der Deutschen Kalkindustrie - BVK) which express the sustainablility principle in the German lime sector are not only obligatory bat are a matter of course. The guidelines are based on the ten principles of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) and the core labour standards of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). As part of the documentation and further development of our systainability efforts, we regularly have ourselves certified by EcoVadis and were most recently awarded a silver medal.
